Applied Marketing Science (AMS) is proud to announce that Brian Sowers and Jacqueline A. Chorn, Ph.D. have both been recently selected to serve on committees for the International Trademark Association (INTA).
Participating on an INTA committee provides the rewarding opportunity to contribute to the advancement of INTA's objectives, network with peers, and raise visibility within the international trademark community.
Principal, Practice Lead, and Survey Expert Brian Sowers has been selected to serve on the INTA "Famous and Well-Known Marks Committee." This committee develops and advocates the Association’s policy regarding the balanced protection of famous and well-known marks. The committee will monitor developments in treaties, cases, legislation and regulation in various jurisdictions, complete analyses and propose policy recommendations to the Board. Work includes report and submission writing, and advocacy in conjunction with relevant INTA committees and staff.
Senior Manager and Survey Expert Jacqueline Chorn, Ph.D. has been selected to serve on the INTA "Trademark Reporter Committee." This committee produces The Trademark Reporter (TMR), which has delivered cutting-edge, peer-reviewed legal scholarship on trademarks, brands, and related areas of intellectual property to practitioners, academics, and courts in the United States and around the globe since 1911. Work includes the review of content for publication in the Trademark Reporter and the solicitation of content. This is the second consecutive term that Jacqueline will be serving on the committee.
Brian and Jacqueline will both serve on their respective committees for the 2020 - 2021 term.
